Speaker Series- Managing Stress; Unlocking the Secret to Calming your Mind Thursday, April 17 | 7 p.m. Ardea member Paula Levesque will be speaking to us about stress and what it does to the central nervous system. Paula will discuss some techniques for reducing stress in your life. About Paula Levesque- Paula is a Registered Yoga Teacher (500 RYT, E-RYT 500) and has been teaching yoga for 20 years. She has received her 500 hour certification. In addition to Hatha yoga classes, Paula has taught yoga for breast cancer survivors, yoga for back care, yoga for osteoporosis and yoga for stress management. Paula has received certification from the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation as a Brain Longevity Specialist. Centre Club - Breakfast with an Executive: Judge Natalie Adams @ Centre Club
Breakfast with an Executive featuring guest speaker: Judge Natalie Adams Natalie Adams is a United States Magistrate Judge whose career has been dedicated to public service. She volunteers on court programs to assist formerly incarcerated individuals and people who cannot afford lawyers, and promotes civil engagement among school children. Natalie also teaches Advanced Trial Practice at Duke Law School. Prior to becoming a judge, Natalie worked for 10 years as a federal prosecutor, targeting violent and organized crime. For her work, she received the Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award, the second highest civilian honor given by the Department of Justice. Natalie has also worked in private practice. She was a partner at the law firms Foley & Lardner and Bradley Arant, and was a senior associate at WilmerHale, where Natalie won the prestigious Pickering Pro Bono Award for representing Peace Corps victims of sexual assault seek policy reform. Her clients testified before Congress, and helped pass a federal law protecting future volunteers.
